Utilizing Sage Intacct's SQL Reporting in the Interactive Custom Report Writer
Article by: Amber Linn, ERP Consultant
Unlock the full potential of your financial and operational data with the Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW) in Sage Intacct. The ICRW not only allows you to create custom reports but also enhances your reporting capabilities by enabling you to join data from multiple reportable databases using SQL.
This blog will briefly guide you through the steps to utilize the SQL reporting feature within the ICRW to take your reporting to the next level.
Access the ICRW by following these steps: navigate to applications, select reports, then select interactive custom reports
Applications > Reports > Interactive Custom Reports
Once you are in the ICRW, you can select any existing reports that you have already built. Within any selected report, navigate to the Custom tab along the top.
Here you will have your SQL. Similar to any other SQL reporting, you can join data or tables, as well as create your own report.
To create your own report, select New Report from the bottom. In this window, you can enter a simple SQL statement to generate the report.
Select Okay when finished, and you will then have a new report with an updated sequel. If you navigate back to the Custom tab, you should be able to see the new codes there as well.
Overall, using SQL coding to create reports is a highly efficient and versatile process and method that can be utilized for managing your financial and operational data.
