Mid/Sr Sage Intacct Consultant

The Senior ERP Business Consultant will focus on numerous companies in a variety of industries, learning how these businesses function from operations to key management reporting. This position will include delivering software solutions for implementing and supporting projects with high customer satisfaction and successful customer adoption. The ERP Business Consultant works well independently or in a team and believes in delivering exceptional solutions to clients across a wide range of industries. This candidate will be expected to communicate effectively, openly, and in a timely manner with team members, management, and clients.

Technical Functions:

  • Collaborate with teams and customers to implement ERP software using Sockeye's methodology, driving on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery.
    • Advise and guide pod on multiple simultaneous projects.
    • Lead role on multiple simultaneous projects (4-6).
    • Manage workload on multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Conduct requirements definition discussions.
    • Design solutions.
    • Configure software.
  • Perform unit and integration testing.
  • Conduct training for customer end-users at all levels of the customer’s organization and relate system functionality to customer business requirements.
  • Analyze complex business processes and interpret customer requirements into deliverable solutions (i.e. cost allocations, union payrolls, equity distributions, consolidations, etc.).
  • Perform gap analysis between system functionality and client requirements.
  • Demonstrate expertise with financial and accounting functions.
  • Understand how to follow U.S. GAAP while being compliant with both SEC and FASB guidelines.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros, etc.) for efficient data mapping, integration, and migration of customer data.
  • Use standard CSV file uploads and/or ability to utilize an API tool for uploading large data sets.
  • Demonstrate expertise in understanding and translating accounting data in Excel.
  • Manage complex migration projects from beginning to end.
  • Design and build light customizations utilizing Platform Services (i.e. Smart Rules & Smart Events).
  • Aid in the design and build of customizations to fill gaps related to system functionality where appropriate.
  • Assist in the conceptual design and architecture of advanced solutions.
  • Identify product or process gaps and/or inefficiencies.
  • Utilize and regularly contribute to the team's knowledge repository for best practices and lessons learned in the form of knowledge base articles.
  • Encourage continuous improvement in the areas of reporting/dashboarding and automation for clients to improve their system functionality.
  • Understand integrations and create appropriate mappings with 3rd party applications.
  • Maintain working knowledge of 3rd party applications to support Account Manager as a technical resource in seeking addon solutions.
  • Effectively document customer business requirements into configurable software solutions and business management processes utilizing Sockeye’s best practices.
  • Monitor and respond to customer technical issues.
  • Ability to easily identify outliers in reviewing financial data.
  • Build industry-specific key performance indicators, reports, and dashboards.
  • Demonstrate expertise on project coordination and knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Coordinate internal and client project team meetings.
  • Identify risks and monitor through necessary escalation channels.
  • Create status reports and run client status calls highlighting upcoming and overdue tasks.
  • Keep current with industry trends and seek solutions that can be applicable to our multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Any additional assignments as requested by management.

Leadership Functions:

  • Participate in the interview process for potential new employees.
  • Contribute to the mentorship, training, and onboarding process of team members.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the team (3-4+ identified areas).
  • Provide learning opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Sage Intacct Implementation certification preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in consulting.
  • 3-4 years of Sage Intacct knowledge.
  • Construction Accounting experience preferred.
  • Sage Intacct Accounting Specialist certification preferred.
  • Minimal, occasional travel
