Construction Software Specialist

The Construction Software Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional support for new and existing Sage Construction Management (formerly Corecon) software implementations and Procore integrations to Sage Intacct. Using prior experience, training, and education, the ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and work closely with customers and other Sockeye team members to configure and communicate best practices to our clients for the Sage Construction Management application. You must possess experience and a strong understanding of pre-construction and construction management practices, along with a passion for construction management technology.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrated expertise with construction project management and estimating
  • Use same “language” as customer when speaking about pre-construction and construction management
  • Develop deep knowledge of Sage Construction Management software: including expertise implementing, as well as staying current with the latest product features and enhancements
  • Provide sales demonstrations for Sage Construction Management software to prospects
  • Gather client requirements for system usage and provide best practice guidance along the way
  • Work with Sockeye team members and clients simultaneously to successfully implement Sage Construction Management software
  • Encourage continuous improvement to help enhance the client’s experience with the software
  • Lead and or assist team with all aspects of the implementation process which includes collaborative consultation with the client, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, unit and integration testing, training, data cleansing, and data migration
  • Monitor and respond to customer technical and support issues related to the system implementation and ongoing use of the construction management system
  • Build positive and lasting relationships with Sockeye’s clients while developing an understanding of customers’ businesses
  • Conduct training for customer end-users at all levels of the customer’s organization and relate system functionality to customer business requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience working as Project Control Specialist or Project Manager for construction company
  • 2+ years of experience working with construction management application such as Procore, Corecon, Fieldwire, Buildertrend, Autodesk, RedTeam, etc.
  • 2+ Years of experience in construction project estimating (preferred)
  • 2+ Years of experience in construction project financials (preferred)

  • Must be able to sit, type, answer phones, write correspondence and other related activities.
