Account Executive

The Account Executive (AE) will be responsible for developing technology solutions and strategies for clients and ensure the growth of the managed services revenue stream and project revenue stream by facilitating the sale of opportunities, ensuring project services through accurate proposal development and pre-sales design.

Additionally, the AE is responsible for managing an assigned group of clients for Sockeye. This position will work with the Sales Manager to deliver exceptional experiences to Sockeye’s existing customer base.

Essential Functions:

  • Prospect, identify, and sell to leads to grow account base and market share.
  • Convert inbound sales leads into sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sockeye team to identify and grow opportunities.
  • Convert existing client base on existing ERP systems to Sage Intacct.
  • Work closely with the sales team to prepare and present onsite or online presentations that showcase Sockeye's services and products to existing clients.
  • Generating quotes, proposals, and contracts for prospects and existing customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Develop trusted adviser relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are kept up to date.
  • Build/Maintains knowledge base of each client's business, organization, and objectives.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Additional assignments as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5 years of ERP software technical or sales experience.
  • Construction Accounting Experience or industry knowledge.
  • Sage Intacct Experience (strongly preferred).
