Financial Reporting Accountant

Currently, Sockeye Business Solutions is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant for a 100% Remote role. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering custom financial reporting and dashboard development for our clients within Sage Intacct and Sage Intacct's Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW) module. This position will include designing and delivering high quality reporting and dashboarding that will allow our clients to make real-time strategic decisions based on current financial and business data.

This role requires a deep knowledge of financial reporting, GAAP standards, coupled with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with team and customers simultaneously to successfully build industry specific key performance indicators, reports, and dashboards
  • Maintain repository and working knowledge of previously created reports for reusability
  • Understand and work within Sage Intacct’s data model, utilizing SQL to build complex data sets for reporting purposes
  • Manage workload on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros, etc.) for efficient data mapping, integration, and migration of customer data
  • Ability to easily identify outliers in reviewing financial data
  • Utilize the API tool/ SQL for uploading large data sets
  • Collaborate and contribute to team success and culture by volunteering to help others, active participation in team events, and helping to deliver on key department objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ Years Building Financial Reports and/or Dashboards
  • 1+ Years SQL Scripting
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards is a plus
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct is required
  • Knowledge of OIBEE is a plus
