Construction Business Analyst

Sockeye is actively seeking a Construction Business Analyst to support our Sage Intacct Construction and Real Estate team.  In this position you will be responsible for providing exceptional support for our existing customer base and prospects. Using prior experience, training, and education in the construction finance world, the ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and work closely with customers and other Sockeye team members to resolve challenges and improve customer processes.

This is a client-facing role that requires a deep knowledge of ERP system and construction business process coupled with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities of this role include the following:

Essential Functions:

  • Service Sockeye’s customers and prospects profitably
  • Support Senior Consultants and Project Managers on Sage Intacct project implementations: including requirements gathering, configuration, and custom reporting/document creation
  • Assist Sockeye’s administrative and sales departments in selling software support services
  • Participate in multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and quality are being met
  • Research and/or escalate complex software issues to identify improvements and opportunities
  • Keep abreast of current technology
  • Provide classroom or web- based training sessions
  • Requires minimal, occasional travel
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Sage Intacct Software support
  • Other software products as assigned
  • Maintain consulting certifications with Sage
  • Ability to successfully multi-task across projects, customers, and internal activities

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, MIS, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in support of finance/operations in construction company(s)
  • Accounting experience with excellent understanding of financial software
  • Valid Driver’s License Required
