ERP Account Manager

The Account Manager (AM) will be responsible for understanding an assigned group of existing clients' strategic business needs while providing solutions and strategies to help our clients reach their goals. The AM will identify and facilitate the sale of opportunities, ensuring project services are accurately tracked, scoped, and priced. The AM will act as a client advocate through implementation projects and beyond, ensuring delivery of exceptional experiences to Sockeye’s existing customer base. This self-driven, highly organized individual must have exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop trusted adviser relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations throughout the lifecycle of the account
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Conduct check-in calls and/or meetings with clients on regular cadence
  • Qualify new sales opportunities for existing clients
  • Cross-selling and up-selling services and solutions to existing clients
  • Conduct Strategic Business Planning meetings with clients
  • Provide annual budgeting for IT capital and operating expenses for existing clients
  • Conduct onsite or online presentations that showcase the services and products of the company to existing clients
  • Facilitate demonstrations for clients with third-party solutions
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge of Sockeye’s services catalog & pricing structure
  • Oversee the design and implementation of successful, high value technology solutions inclusive of Statements of Work (SoW) and Estimate of Hours (EoH)
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities
  • Perform sales procedures through activities and opportunities in CRM and remain compliant with defined policies and procedures
  • Attend weekly account management meetings and ensure sales opportunities are kept up to date

  • Able to explain and guide clients through technical issues
  • Sets and manages client expectations
  • Develops lasting relationships with client personnel

  • Understanding of accounting software, accounting best practices, and the workflow within an accounting department


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Account Management Experience: 3+ years
  • Accounting Software Experience: 1+ year
  • Construction Industry Experience: 1+ year
